Description

These sliders are layered with sliced turkey, tangy cranberry sauce, and melted cheese on soft rolls, then baked until golden. Perfect for a quick meal, snack, or appetizer, they’re a crowd-pleaser and an ideal way to use up leftovers!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls or slider buns
  • 1 lb cooked turkey, sliced or shredded
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 6 slices of Swiss or provolone cheese, halved
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds (optional)
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Rolls:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected if possible, and place the bottom half in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the cut side of each roll.
  2. Assemble the Sliders:
    • Layer the sliced turkey evenly over the bottom half of the rolls.
    • Spread the cranberry sauce over the turkey, then add the cheese slices on top.
  3. Add the Top Layer:
    • Place the top half of the rolls over the fillings.
  4. Prepare the Butter Mixture:
    • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, thyme, salt, and pepper.
    • Brush this mixture generously over the top of the rolls to coat.
  5. Bake:
    • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
    • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  6. Serve:
    • Remove from the oven, slice the sliders, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Cheese Choices: Swiss or provolone work well, but cheddar or gouda can add a different twist.
  • Herbs: Fresh rosemary or thyme sprinkled on top adds a nice aromatic touch.
  • Leftovers: These sliders are a great way to use up leftover turkey and cranberry sauce from the holidays!
