Description

Cranberry cream cheese appetizer bites are festive, sweet and savory snacks made with tangy cranberry sauce and creamy cheese on a crisp cracker or pastry base — perfect for holidays and gatherings.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 24 mini phyllo shells or crackers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary or thyme
  • 1 tbsp chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 tsp orange zest (optional)

Instructions

  1. If using phyllo shells, pre-bake them according to package directions and let cool.
  2. Fill each shell or cracker with about 1 teaspoon of cream cheese.
  3. Top with 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
  4. Garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme, and sprinkle with nuts and orange zest if using.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Use whipped cream cheese for a lighter texture and easier spreading.
  • Can be made a few hours ahead and stored in the fridge.
  • Try with goat cheese for a tangier flavor.
