Description

Cranberry Cocktail Sausages are a sweet and tangy appetizer made with little smokies or cocktail sausages simmered in a flavorful cranberry-based sauce. Perfect for parties and holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 (14 oz) package cocktail sausages (little smokies)
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (whole berry or jellied)
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberry sauce, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder over medium heat.
  2. Stir until smooth and the mixture begins to simmer.
  3. Add the cocktail sausages and stir to coat evenly with the sauce.
  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sausages are heated through and sauce is thickened.
  5. Serve warm with toothpicks for easy eating.

Notes

  • These can also be made in a slow cooker on low for 2-3 hours.
  • Use spicy barbecue sauce for a kick of heat.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
