For the Bread:
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup (130g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
- 1 cup (120g) peeled and diced apples (Granny Smith or your favorite variety)
For the Cinnamon Swirl:
- 1/3 cup (70g) brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
2. Make the Cinnamon Swirl:
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
3. Prepare the Batter:
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples gently.
4. Assemble the Bread:
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle half of the cinnamon swirl mixture over the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter over the cinnamon layer and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon swirl mixture on top. Use a knife to gently swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter.
5. Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
6. Cool and Serve:
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and serve!

- For extra sweetness, drizzle the cooled bread with a simple glaze made of powdered sugar and milk.
- Use a mix of tart and sweet apples for a balanced flavor.
