Description

These Cinnamon Roll Waffles combine everything you love about gooey cinnamon rolls with the crisp texture of waffles — drizzled with cream cheese glaze for an irresistible breakfast treat.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • For the Cream Cheese Glaze:
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 23 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until combined. Pour into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Pour waffle batter into the preheated waffle iron, then sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter before closing the lid.
  6. Cook waffles until golden and crisp. Repeat with remaining batter.
  7. To make the glaze, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and enough milk to reach drizzle consistency.
  8. Serve waffles warm, drizzled with cream cheese glaze.

Notes

  • For extra cinnamon swirl effect, gently swirl the cinnamon sugar into the batter with a knife before closing the waffle iron.
  • Top with chopped pecans for added crunch.
  • Leftover waffles can be frozen and reheated in the toaster.
