  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or a similar-sized casserole dish.

2. Prepare the Apple Filling:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), and lemon juice.
  2. Spread the apple mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.

3. Make the Oat Topping:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Stir in the melted butter until the mixture forms a crumbly texture.

4. Assemble and Bake:

  1. Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the apple mixture.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.

5. Serve:
