Description

Church Supper Spaghetti is a comforting, crowd-pleasing baked spaghetti casserole made with a rich meat sauce, tender pasta, and melted cheese—ideal for potlucks and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (24 oz) spaghetti sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and chopped onion and cook until beef is browned and onion is soft. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  4. Stir in spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, combine cooked spaghetti and meat sauce. Mix well to coat.
  6. Transfer half of the spaghetti mixture to the baking dish. Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  7. Add remaining spaghetti mixture, then top with remaining cheeses.
  8. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and cheese is melted and golden.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes
