Church Supper Spaghetti is a comforting, crowd-pleasing baked spaghetti casserole made with a rich meat sauce, tender pasta, and melted cheese—ideal for potlucks and family gatherings.

- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar (24 oz) spaghetti sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and chopped onion and cook until beef is browned and onion is soft. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
- Stir in spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked spaghetti and meat sauce. Mix well to coat.
- Transfer half of the spaghetti mixture to the baking dish. Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Add remaining spaghetti mixture, then top with remaining cheeses.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and cheese is melted and golden.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving, if desired.
Notes
- Can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to bake.
- Use a mix of ground beef and sausage for extra flavor.
- Leftovers reheat well and can be frozen for later.
