Description

Christmas Pretzel Hugs are an easy, festive holiday treat combining salty pretzels, creamy Hershey’s Hugs, and colorful M&M’s. This sweet and salty bite-sized treat is perfect for gifting or holiday parties, and it only takes a few minutes to make!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 60 square pretzels (like Snyder’s Snaps)
  • 60 Hershey’s Hugs, unwrapped
  • 60 red and green M&M’s

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Baking Sheet:

    • Preheat the oven to 200°F (95°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat for easy cleanup.
  2. Assemble the Pretzel Hugs:

    • Arrange the pretzels in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Place one unwrapped Hershey’s Hug in the center of each pretzel.
  3. Melt the Chocolate:

    • Bake in the preheated oven for 4-5 minutes, or until the chocolate is soft and glossy but still holds its shape (do not let it fully melt)

      .
  4. Add the M&M’s:

    • Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Quickly press one M&M into the center of each softened Hug, gently spreading the chocolate. Let the pretzels sit at room temperature until set, or refrigerate for 10-15 minutes to speed up the process
      .
  5. Serve or Store:

    • Once the chocolate has set, transfer the pretzel hugs to an airtight container. They are ready to serve or can be packaged for gifting.

Notes

  • Storage: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
  • Variations: Try using Hershey’s Kisses or different colored M&M’s for other holidays. You can also swap the pretzel shape for twists or stars.
