Ingredients
Units
Scale
- 1 (14.3 oz) package Oreo cookies
- 2 cups white chocolate chips or candy melts
- 2 cups milk or dark chocolate chips or candy melts
- Assorted holiday sprinkles
- Crushed candy canes
- Red and green food coloring (if using white chocolate)
Instructions
- Melt the Chocolate:
- Place the white chocolate and milk/dark chocolate chips in separate microwave-safe bowls.
- Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth. If using food coloring, stir it into the melted white chocolate until the desired color is achieved.
- Dip the Oreos:
- Using a fork or dipping tool, submerge each Oreo into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Tap the fork gently on the edge of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
- Decorate:
- Place the coated Oreos on a baking sheet lined with parchment or wax paper. While the chocolate is still wet, decorate with holiday sprinkles, crushed candy canes, or drizzle with the contrasting chocolate for a striped design.
- Set the Chocolate:
- Allow the chocolate to harden at room temperature for 1–2 hours, or place the Oreos in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes to speed up the process.
- Serve or Package:
- Once set, transfer the Christmas Oreos to a serving platter or package them in festive bags or boxes for gifting.
Notes
- Use flavored Oreos like peppermint or gingerbread for an extra festive twist.
- Add edible glitter or gold dust for a sparkling holiday effect.
- These cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
