- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup red and green holiday sprinkles (or festive M&M’s)

- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy and smooth (about 2 minutes). Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Avoid over-mixing.
- Add Chocolate Chips and Sprinkles: Fold in the chocolate chips and holiday sprinkles (or M&M’s) until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Scoop and Shape the Dough: Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake the Cookies: Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers still look soft. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
