- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
- 8 slices American or cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
- Pickles, lettuce, or other toppings (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish with foil.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion until beef is browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Slice slider buns horizontally (keeping tops and bottoms attached) and place the bottom halves in the prepared dish.
- Evenly spread the beef mixture over the buns. Top with cheese slices to cover.
- Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
- Bake uncovered for 10–12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and tops are golden.
- Slice into individual sliders and serve with pickles, lettuce, or additional toppings as desired.
Notes
- Use pre-sliced cheese for easy layering and melting.
- Customize with bacon bits, sautéed mushrooms, or jalapeños in the beef mix.
- Leftovers can be reheated in the oven for 5–7 minutes.
