Description

These homemade chocolate truffles are rich, creamy, and melt in your mouth. Made with just a few simple ingredients, they’re perfect for holidays, parties, or whenever you’re craving a little indulgence. Roll them in cocoa powder, nuts, or sprinkles for a fun, customizable treat!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz (225g) semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped

  • 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • Cocoa powder, chopped nuts, or sprinkles (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Don’t let it boil.

  2. Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate and butter. Let sit for 2-3 minutes.

  3. Stir gently until smooth and fully combined. Mix in vanilla extract.

  4. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours or until firm.

  5. Once firm, scoop small amounts of the mixture and roll into balls using your hands.

  6. Roll each truffle in your choice of coating: cocoa powder, chopped nuts, or sprinkles.

  7. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.

  • Truffles can be frozen for up to 1 month. Thaw in the fridge before serving.

  • Try adding a splash of liqueur like Baileys or Grand Marnier for an adult twist.
