- 1/2 cup heavy cream

- Cocoa powder, chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or melted chocolate for coating (optional)
Instructions
- Place chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until just simmering (do not boil).
- Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let sit for 2-3 minutes to melt.
- Add butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until smooth and glossy.
- Cover and refrigerate the ganache for at least 1-2 hours or until firm enough to scoop.
- Using a spoon or melon baller, scoop and roll ganache into 1-inch balls.
- Roll truffles in cocoa powder, nuts, coconut, or dip in melted chocolate as desired.
- Place on a parchment-lined tray and chill until firm. Store in the fridge until ready to serve.
