1 lb fresh strawberries (about 20-25 large), washed and completely dried

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate

1 tsp coconut oil or vegetable oil (optional, for smoother melting)

Instructions

Prep your strawberries:
Rinse and gently pat strawberries dry with paper towels. Make sure they are completely dry—any water can make the chocolate seize. -
Melt the chocolate:
Place semi-sweet chocolate and oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted. -
Dip the strawberries:
Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into the melted chocolate, turning to coat. Let excess drip off. -
Add toppings (optional):
While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle on nuts, sprinkles, or other toppings. Place dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet. -
Chill to set:
Refrigerate for about 15–30 minutes or until chocolate is firm. -
Serve or store:
Serve immediately or store in the fridge for up to 2 days. Best eaten fresh!
