- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prepare
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
Step 2: Make the Batter
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- Stir in melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Add flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon, mixing until just incorporated (don’t overmix).
- Fold in chocolate chips gently.
Step 3: Bake the Banana Bread
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
