- 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
- 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
- 1 jar (12 oz) caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Pour half of the chocolate cake mix evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Drizzle half of the caramel sauce and half of the evaporated milk over the cake mix.
- Sprinkle half of the chocolate chips and optional chopped pecans on top.
- Repeat layers with remaining cake mix, caramel sauce, evaporated milk, and chocolate chips.
- Drizzle melted butter evenly over the top.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is set and edges are bubbly.
- Let cool for 15 minutes before serving. Serve warm for best texture and flavor.

- Use high-quality caramel sauce for a richer flavor.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream for an indulgent treat.
- To make it nut-free, simply omit the pecans.
