Description

These Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies are rich, chewy, and unbelievably easy to make with just a few ingredients! Perfect for a quick treat or last-minute dessert, they’re customizable and always a crowd favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 (15.25 oz) box chocolate cake mix (like devil’s food or chocolate fudge)

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 2 large eggs

  • Optional mix-ins:

    • 1 cup chocolate chips

    • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

    • 1/2 cup M&M’s or peanut butter chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, oil, and eggs. Stir until a soft dough forms.

  3. Fold in any desired mix-ins.

  4. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.

  5. Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until edges are set but centers are still soft.

  6. Let cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For fudgier cookies, use only ¼ cup oil and chill the dough for 15 minutes before baking.

  • These freeze well—baked or as dough!

  • Try using different flavored cake mixes (like red velvet or spice) for fun variations.
