Description

Chicken Tacos are a flavorful and versatile Mexican dish made with seasoned chicken, fresh toppings, and soft or crispy tortillas, perfect for a quick and delicious meal.

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • Sour cream or salsa for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken into small strips or bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Toss the chicken pieces in the spice mix until evenly coated.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 6-8 minutes or until fully cooked and browned.
  5. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
  6. Assemble tacos by placing chicken in tortillas and topping with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, cheese, and cilantro.
  7. Serve with lime wedges and optional sour cream or salsa.
