Description

This Chicken Caesar Croissant Sandwich is a delicious twist on the classic Caesar salad, served inside a buttery, flaky croissant. Packed with tender shredded chicken, crisp romaine, Parmesan cheese, and a creamy Caesar dressing, it’s the perfect lunch, brunch, or picnic sandwich!

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Chicken Caesar Filling:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works great!)
  • 1/3 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (for extra creaminess, optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice (for a fresh kick)
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped romaine lettuce

For the Sandwich:

  • 4 large croissants, sliced in half
  • 4 slices provolone or Swiss cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 cup crumbled bacon (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions

1. Make the Chicken Caesar Filling:

  1. In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, Caesar dressing, mayonnaise, black pepper, garlic powder, lemon juice, and Parmesan cheese.
  2. Stir well until evenly coated.
  3. Fold in chopped romaine lettuce just before assembling.

2. Assemble the Sandwiches:

  1. Slice croissants in half and layer each bottom half with a slice of provolone or Swiss cheese (if using).
  2. Spoon the chicken Caesar mixture generously onto each croissant.
  3. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon for extra flavor (optional).
  4. Place the croissant top on and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Make it Healthier: Use whole wheat croissants or serve the filling in a lettuce wrap.
  • Extra Crunch: Add sliced tomatoes or a handful of crispy croutons inside the sandwich.
  • Meal Prep Friendly: Store the chicken mixture separately and assemble fresh sandwiches when ready to eat.
  • Warm Option: Toast the croissants for a crispier texture before assembling.
