- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works great!)
- 1 (15 oz) jar Alfredo sauce (or homemade, see below!)
- 1/2 cup milk (helps thin the sauce!)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (adds extra flavor!)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning (optional, for extra flavor!)
- 2 tbsp butter, melted (for a buttery topping!)
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs (for a crispy topping!)
- Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional!)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prep
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 2: Assemble the Casserole
- Arrange the frozen pierogis in a single layer in the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded chicken evenly over the pierogis.
Step 3: Make the Alfredo Sauce Mixture
- In a medium bowl, whisk together Alfredo sauce, milk, garlic powder, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Pour the sauce evenly over the pierogis and chicken, ensuring everything is coated.
Step 4: Add Cheese & Topping
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the casserole.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter and panko breadcrumbs.
- Sprinkle the buttery breadcrumbs over the top for a crispy finish.
Step 5: Bake Until Golden & Bubbly
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
- If desired, broil for 2-3 minutes at the end for a golden, crispy top.

- Let cool for 5 minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley.
