- 12 oz penne or rotini pasta
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, then season with salt and pepper.
- Cook sauce for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened. Add chicken and cooked pasta, stirring to combine.
- Mix in 1 cup mozzarella cheese, then transfer everything to the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken for quick prep.
- Add steamed broccoli or spinach for extra veggies.
- Can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to bake.
