Description

Chicken Alfredo Bake is a comforting and creamy pasta casserole made with tender chicken, rich Alfredo sauce, and gooey melted cheese. It’s the perfect family-friendly dish for weeknight dinners or potlucks.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz penne or rotini pasta
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, then season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook sauce for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened. Add chicken and cooked pasta, stirring to combine.
  6. Mix in 1 cup mozzarella cheese, then transfer everything to the prepared baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella over the top.
  8. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for quick prep.
  • Add steamed broccoli or spinach for extra veggies.
  • Can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to bake.
