Description

This Cheesy Sloppy Cheeseburger Pasta combines the savory flavors of a classic cheeseburger with the comforting texture of pasta. It’s a hearty, one-pot meal that’s perfect for busy weeknights and sure to be a family favorite.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni or pasta of choice
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta: Prepare the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Sauté Aromatics: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
  • Add Sauces and Simmer: Stir in the diced tomatoes with their juices, beef broth, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  • Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, stirring to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
  • Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the pasta mixture. Stir until the cheese is melted and the dish is creamy.
  • Season and Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.
  • This dish can be made ahead and reheated; it may thicken upon standing, so add a splash of beef broth or water when reheating if needed.
  • Feel free to customize by adding diced pickles, bacon bits, or a dollop of sour cream on top.
