- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 2 cups cooked pasta (like penne or rotini)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup crushed Ritz crackers (optional topping)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (optional topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the cooked chicken and pasta to the mixture and stir until well combined.
- Stir in 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheese over the top.
- In a small bowl, mix crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole (optional).
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly and the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute rotisserie chicken for convenience.
- Try adding vegetables like broccoli or peas for added nutrition.
- Use a mix of cheeses for extra flavor.
