Description

This classic Cheese Grilled Cheese sandwich is the ultimate comfort food — golden, crispy bread on the outside with gooey, melted cheese on the inside. Simple, satisfying, and always delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or your choice)
  • 23 slices of cheddar cheese or cheese of choice
  • 12 tablespoons butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread evenly.
  3. Place one slice of bread butter-side down onto the skillet. Add cheese slices on top.
  4. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  5. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Flip and cook the other side for another 2–3 minutes, until golden and cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from skillet, let cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use a combination of cheeses like mozzarella, gouda, or pepper jack for variety.
  • For extra crispiness, press down slightly with a spatula while cooking.
  • Pair with tomato soup for the ultimate cozy meal.
