- 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
- 1 cup (100 g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Cheddar Bay topping:
- 1 cup (120 g) biscuit mix (like Bisquick or homemade)
- 1/2 cup (50 g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) milk
Optional garnish:
- Crispy fried onions or breadcrumbs for extra crunch
Instructions
- Preheat the oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or a similar casserole dish.
- Prepare the casserole base:
- In a large bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the green beans and stir until well-coated.
- Assemble the casserole:
- Transfer the green bean mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Make the Cheddar Bay topping:
- In a separate bowl, mix the biscuit mix, shredded cheddar cheese, melted butter, and milk until a thick batter forms. Drop spoonfuls of the batter evenly over the green bean mixture.
- Bake:
