Description

Celebration Salmon Salad is a vibrant and elegant dish featuring flaked cooked salmon, crisp vegetables, fresh herbs, and a zesty dressing. It’s perfect for festive gatherings, special occasions, or as a light, satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups cooked salmon, flaked (grilled, baked, or poached)
  • 4 cups mixed salad greens (arugula, spinach, or lettuce)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons capers (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese (optional)
  • For the dressing:
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the salad greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and avocado.
  2. Add the flaked salmon, capers (if using), dill, and parsley on top.
  3. In a small bowl or jar, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and gently toss to combine.
  5. Top with crumbled feta cheese if using, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use hot- or cold-smoked salmon for a different twist.
  • This salad can be made ahead; add dressing and avocado just before serving.
  • Serve with crusty bread or boiled potatoes for a more filling meal.
