Description

Cedar Plank Salmon is a flavorful dish where salmon fillets are grilled on a soaked cedar plank, infusing the fish with a subtle smoky aroma and keeping it moist and tender.


Ingredients

  • 1 untreated cedar plank
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Soak the cedar plank in water for at least 1-2 hours, or up to overnight.
  2. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  3. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, dill, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pat salmon fillets dry and brush them with the prepared mixture.
  5. Place the soaked cedar plank on the grill and heat for about 5 minutes until it starts to smoke.
  6. Carefully place the salmon fillets on the plank, skin side down.
  7. Close the grill lid and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Remove from the grill and serve with fresh lemon wedges.
