This Carnivore Bacon Cheeseburger Pie is a hearty, protein-packed meal perfect for anyone following a low-carb or carnivore diet. With ground beef, bacon, eggs, and plenty of cheese, this dish brings the classic flavors of a cheeseburger without the bun, making it both satisfying and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 or fattier)
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish or baking dish and set aside.
  2. Cook the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the skillet.
  3. Brown the Ground Beef: In the same skillet with bacon grease, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking up the meat as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Assemble the Pie: Spread the cooked ground beef evenly in the prepared pie dish. Sprinkle the cooked bacon and shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.
  5. Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream until smooth. Pour the mixture over the beef, bacon, and cheese in the pie dish.
  6. Bake: Place the pie dish in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the pie is set in the center.
  7. Serve: Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice and enjoy warm!

Notes

  • For added flavor, use smoked or aged cheddar.
  • This recipe is flexible for toppings like a dollop of sour cream or extra cheese if desired.
