Carne Asada Fries are the ultimate comfort food! Crispy golden fries are topped with juicy grilled steak, melted cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Perfect as an appetizer, game day snack, or a fun dinner idea everyone will love.
Ingredients
For the Carne Asada:

1 lb flank or skirt steak

2 tbsp olive oil

1/4 cup orange juice

2 tbsp lime juice

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp chili powder

Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Fries:

1 (28 oz) bag frozen French fries, or homemade fries

1 tbsp olive oil (if baking or air frying)
Toppings:

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)

1/2 cup guacamole
-
1/2 cup sour cream
-
1/2 cup pico de gallo or fresh salsa

2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
-
1 sliced jalapeño (optional)
Instructions

Marinate the Steak:
In a bowl, mix olive oil, orange juice, lime juice, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Add the steak and marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to 4 hours in the fridge). -
Cook the Steak:
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for 4–5 minutes per side until nicely charred and cooked to your liking. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain. -
Prepare the Fries:
Cook fries according to package instructions (bake, air fry, or deep fry) until golden and crispy. -
Assemble the Fries:
Place the cooked fries on a baking sheet or serving platter. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and place under a broiler for 1–2 minutes until the cheese melts. -
Add Toppings:
Top the cheesy fries with sliced carne asada, dollops of guacamole and sour cream, spoonfuls of pico de gallo, cilantro, and jalapeño slices if using.

Serve immediately while hot and crispy!
