Instructions
Make the Brownie Batter
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
Make the Cheesecake Swirl
- In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Assemble the Brownies
- Pour ¾ of the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Spoon the cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter in dollops.
- Add the remaining brownie batter on top in dollops, then use a knife to swirl the cheesecake and brownie layers together.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce and Nutella over the top. Use a toothpick or knife to gently swirl them into the batter.
Bake
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely before slicing.
Serving & Storage
- Serve at room temperature or slightly warmed for gooey texture.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder in the brownie batter.
- Warm the Nutella slightly before drizzling to make it easier to swirl.
- If you love salted caramel, sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on top before baking!
