Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 (8-ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 rolls)
  • 1 large apple (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled, cored, and sliced into 8 wedges
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce (plus more for drizzling)
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  1. Prepare the Crescent Rolls:
    • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.

  1. Add the Fillings:
    • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon together.
    • Sprinkle a little of this mixture over each dough triangle.
    • Drizzle a small amount of caramel sauce onto each triangle.

  1. Add Apple Slices:
    • Place an apple slice at the wider end of each crescent roll triangle.
    • Sprinkle with chopped pecans if using.

  1. Roll Them Up:
    • Gently roll up each crescent roll, starting at the apple end.
    • Place rolls on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.

  1. Brush and Sprinkle:
    • Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with a bit more cinnamon sugar mixture.

  1. Bake:
    • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the apples are tender.

  1. Serve:
    • Drizzle with extra caramel sauce before serving.
    • Enjoy warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired!

Notes

  • Apple Varieties: Granny Smith apples work best for tartness, but any firm apple will do.
  • For Extra Flavor: Add a sprinkle of nutmeg or apple pie spice to the cinnamon sugar mixture.

  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for a crisp texture.
