Description

Caramel Apple Bites are a fun and easy treat made with fresh apple slices, gooey caramel, and crunchy toppings. These bite-sized snacks are perfect for parties, holidays, or a quick fall-inspired dessert.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 large apples, cored and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (to prevent browning)
  • 20 soft caramels, unwrapped
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream or milk
  • 1/4 cup crushed peanuts, sprinkles, or mini chocolate chips
  • Toothpicks or skewers for serving

Instructions

  1. Toss apple pieces in lemon juice to prevent browning and pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine caramels and heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and melted.
  3. Insert a toothpick or skewer into each apple piece.
  4. Dip each apple piece halfway into the melted caramel, then roll or sprinkle with desired toppings.
  5. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes to set.
  6. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use tart apples like Granny Smith to balance the sweetness of the caramel.
  • Double dip in caramel and toppings for extra indulgence.
  • These are best enjoyed the same day they’re made.
