- 20 soft caramels, unwrapped
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream or milk
- 1/4 cup crushed peanuts, sprinkles, or mini chocolate chips
- Toothpicks or skewers for serving
Instructions
- Toss apple pieces in lemon juice to prevent browning and pat dry with a paper towel.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine caramels and heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and melted.
- Insert a toothpick or skewer into each apple piece.
- Dip each apple piece halfway into the melted caramel, then roll or sprinkle with desired toppings.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes to set.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature.
