- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, cubed or torn into pieces
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
- Optional: Balsamic glaze for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the base: In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and minced garlic. Spread the mixture evenly at the bottom of a small oven-safe dish or skillet.
- Layer the tomatoes and mozzarella: Arrange the halved cherry tomatoes and mozzarella cubes over the cream cheese mixture. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Add fresh basil: Remove the dip from the oven and sprinkle chopped fresh basil over the top. Drizzle with balsamic glaze, if using.
- Serve: Serve warm with toasted baguette slices, crackers, or fresh veggies for dipping.
Notes
- For extra flavor, use a mix of cherry tomatoes in different colors.
- To make it more indulgent, add a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
- This dip pairs wonderfully with a glass of white wine or sparkling water.
