Description

Candy Grapes are sweet, crunchy, and colorful treats made by coating fresh grapes in candy or gelatin powder. They’re simple to prepare, customizable, and perfect for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups green or red seedless grapes
  • 1/4 cup water or corn syrup (for sticking)
  • 1/2 cup flavored gelatin powder (such as Jell-O) or powdered candy (like Kool-Aid)
  • Toothpicks or skewers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Grapes:
    • Wash the grapes thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel.
    • For easy handling, insert toothpicks or skewers into the grapes, if desired.
  2. Prepare the Coating:
    • Pour the gelatin or candy powder into a small bowl or plate.
  3. Dip the Grapes:
    • Lightly brush or dip the grapes in water or corn syrup to make the powder stick.
    • Roll the grapes in the flavored powder until evenly coated.
  4. Chill and Serve:
    • Place the coated grapes on a tray lined with parchment paper.
    • Chill in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to set the coating. Serve cold for the best texture.

Notes

  • Try different flavors for variety, such as cherry, lime, or blue raspberry gelatin.
  • For a sour twist, use a mix of powdered candy and citric acid.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
