Description

Campfire Apple Pie Packets are a fun and easy dessert made with fresh apples, cinnamon, and sugar wrapped in foil and cooked over a campfire or grill. Perfect for outdoor adventures or backyard cookouts.


Ingredients

  • 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp butter, cut into small pieces
  • 4 graham crackers, crushed
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
  • Aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Preheat campfire or grill to medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix apple slices with lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until evenly coated.
  3. Tear 2 large sheets of aluminum foil and double them for durability.
  4. Place half the apple mixture in the center of each foil sheet.
  5. Top with butter pieces, crushed graham crackers, and mini marshmallows if using.
  6. Fold and seal foil packets tightly to avoid leakage.
  7. Place packets over campfire coals or on grill and cook for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally.
  8. Remove from heat, carefully open, and let cool slightly before serving.
