Description

Cajun Snack Mix is a bold and spicy blend of crackers, pretzels, nuts, and cereal, all tossed in a buttery Cajun seasoning. It’s crunchy, flavorful, and seriously addictive—perfect for snacking, sharing, or adding a little heat to your next party spread.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups rice or corn cereal squares (like Chex)

  • 1 cup mini pretzels

  • 1 cup cheese crackers

  • 1 cup roasted peanuts or mixed nuts

  • 1 cup bagel chips or rye chips

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine cereal, pretzels, crackers, nuts, and chips.

  3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne (if using).

  4. Pour the butter mixture over the snack mix and toss to coat evenly.

  5. Spread mix on a large baking sheet in an even layer.

  6. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.

  7. Let cool completely before serving or storing in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Store in a sealed container for up to a week—if it lasts that long!

  • Adjust the heat to your taste—skip the cayenne or double it for spice lovers.

  • Add hot sauce or crushed red pepper flakes for an extra punch.

  • Great for gifting in jars or snack bags!
