Instructions
1. Season the Salmon
- Pat salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
- Rub olive oil over the salmon, then season with Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
2. Cook the Salmon (Stovetop Method)
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of oil.
- Place salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 3–4 minutes until crispy.
- Flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes, until salmon is cooked through (145°F/63°C internal temp).
3. Make the Honey Butter Glaze
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, honey, Cajun seasoning, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour the glaze over the salmon in the skillet and spoon it over the fillets for 30 seconds until glossy.
4. Serve & Enjoy
- Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley or green onions, and serve with lemon wedges.
- Enjoy with rice, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad!
Alternative: Baked Cajun Honey Butter Salmon
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with foil and place seasoned salmon on it.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, then brush with the honey butter glaze and broil for 2 minutes until caramelized.
Storage & Reheating
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat or in the oven at 300°F (150°C) for 5–7 minutes.
Notes
- Swap Cajun seasoning for Blackened or Creole seasoning for a different twist.
- Use maple syrup instead of honey for a deeper sweetness.
- Want it crispier? Broil for the last 2 minutes of cooking!
