Description

Cajun Garlic Butter Steak Bites are juicy, tender pieces of steak cooked to perfection in a flavorful Cajun garlic butter sauce. This quick and easy dish is perfect for weeknight dinners, served with rice, potatoes, or over a fresh salad!

Ingredients

Units Scale

  • 1 1/2 lbs (680g) sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Season the Steak:
    • In a large bowl, combine the steak cubes, olive oil, Cajun seasoning, and salt. Toss until the steak is evenly coated.
  • Cook the Steak:
    • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the skillet (cook in batches if necessary).
    • Sear the steak bites for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
    • Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
  • Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter.
    • Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Combine Steak and Sauce:
    • Return the cooked steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce until well coated.
  • Serve:
    • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • Add spice: For extra heat, add 1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper to the Cajun seasoning.
  • Make it creamy: Stir in 1/4 cup of heavy cream with the garlic butter for a creamy twist.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet for best results.
