Â
- 1 1/2 lbs (680g) sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Season the Steak:
- In a large bowl, combine the steak cubes, olive oil, Cajun seasoning, and salt. Toss until the steak is evenly coated.
- Cook the Steak:
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the skillet (cook in batches if necessary).
- Sear the steak bites for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter.
- Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Combine Steak and Sauce:
- Return the cooked steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce until well coated.
- Serve:
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
- Add spice: For extra heat, add 1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper to the Cajun seasoning.
- Make it creamy: Stir in 1/4 cup of heavy cream with the garlic butter for a creamy twist.
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet for best results.
