Description

Soft, fluffy pull-apart bread rolls brushed with rich melted butter — perfect as a side for dinner, a holiday table, or served warm with jam.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (for dough)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and 1 tbsp sugar in warm milk. Let stand for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, and salt. Add yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Punch down dough and divide into 20-24 small pieces. Roll each piece into a ball.
  6. Grease a bundt pan or round baking dish. Dip each ball in melted butter and arrange in the pan, stacking as needed.
  7. Cover and let rise for 30-45 minutes, until puffy.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Brush warm bubble bread with additional melted butter if desired. Serve warm and pull apart to enjoy.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add garlic or herbs to the melted butter before dipping.
  • Best served warm but can be reheated.
  • Perfect for holiday dinners or brunch.
