Description

These bars feature a buttery graham cracker crust with melted butterscotch and a smooth cheesecake filling. They are perfect for any dessert table, adding a delicious twist with a crunchy and creamy texture blend.


Ingredients

  • Crust:
    • 11 oz butterscotch chips
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
    • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • Cheesecake Filling:
    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
    • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
    • 1 large egg
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare Crust: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan. In a saucepan, melt butterscotch chips and butter over low heat, stirring frequently. Combine with graham cracker crumbs until fully coated.
  2. Layer Crust: Reserve about 2/3 cup of the crumb mixture and press the remaining mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Make Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese until fluffy. Add sweetened condensed milk, egg, and vanilla, and mix until smooth. Pour over the crust.
  4. Bake: Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture over the top. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the center is set. Allow the bars to cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
