Description

Broccoli Cauliflower Salad is a fresh, crunchy, and creamy side dish made with raw broccoli and cauliflower florets, crispy bacon, cheese, and a tangy-sweet dressing. It’s perfect for potlucks, picnics, or everyday meals.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 cups broccoli florets, chopped
  • 3 cups cauliflower florets, chopped
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped broccoli, cauliflower, red onion, cheddar cheese, and bacon.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
  3. Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients and toss until evenly coated.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to blend.
  5. Serve chilled and enjoy.

Notes

  • Can be made a day in advance for enhanced flavor.
  • For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream or mayo.
  • Omit bacon or use plant-based bacon for a vegetarian option.
