- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional for sweetness)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients.
- Mix thoroughly with your hands or a spoon until the spices are evenly distributed throughout the pork.
- Form into small patties, about 2–3 inches in diameter.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for 3–4 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and browned.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
Notes
- You can prepare the sausage mixture the night before and refrigerate for enhanced flavor.
- For a leaner version, substitute part or all of the ground pork with ground turkey.
