Description

Breakfast Sausage Crescent Rolls are a quick and delicious morning treat! With savory sausage, creamy cheese, and buttery crescent rolls, these are perfect for breakfast on the go, brunch gatherings, or a hearty snack.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
  • 2 tubes crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese blend)
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten (for brushing, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Cook the Sausage:
    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease and let it cool slightly.
  3. Prepare the Filling:
    • In a bowl, mix the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
  4. Assemble the Crescent Rolls:
    • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
    • Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture on the wide end of each triangle. Roll up the dough around the filling and place on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.
  5. Brush with Egg (Optional):
    • Brush the tops of the crescent rolls with the beaten egg for a golden, shiny finish.
  6. Bake:
    • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and fully cooked.
  7. Serve:
    • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup, mustard, or a creamy breakfast gravy.

Notes

  • Add scrambled eggs to the filling for a complete breakfast bite.
  • Use spicy sausage or add red pepper flakes for a kick.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven.
