- 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and onion and sauté until fragrant and translucent, about 3–4 minutes.
- Add cherry tomatoes and broccoli. Cook for 4–5 minutes, until vegetables begin to soften.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in cream, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

- Add grilled chicken, shrimp, or sausage for extra protein.
- Substitute other vegetables like spinach or zucchini as desired.
- Use half-and-half instead of cream for a lighter version.
