Scale
- 1 oz grenadine (for the red layer)
- 1 oz banana liqueur (for the yellow layer)
- 1 oz melon liqueur (for the green layer)
- 1 oz light rum
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Create the red layer: Pour the grenadine into the bottom of a tall glass or hurricane glass. Add a few ice cubes to keep the layers distinct.
- Add the yellow layer: In a separate glass, mix the banana liqueur with the light rum. Carefully pour this over the back of a spoon onto the red layer to create the yellow layer.
- Finish with the green layer: Slowly pour the melon liqueur over the back of a spoon onto the yellow layer to create the green layer on top.
- Serve: Garnish with a slice of lime or pineapple if desired, and enjoy this colorful cocktail immediately.
Notes
- For an alcohol-free version, replace the grenadine, banana liqueur, and melon liqueur with fruit juices of similar colors (e.g., cranberry, pineapple, and kiwi juices).
- Use a steady hand and pour each layer gently to keep them from mixing.
