Description

This BLT Salad takes everything you love about the classic bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich and turns it into a crisp, flavorful salad. It’s loaded with crispy bacon, juicy tomatoes, crunchy lettuce, and topped with a creamy dressing. Great for lunch or a simple dinner!

Ingredients

For the Salad:

  • 6 cups chopped romaine lettuce

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 6 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled

  • 1 avocado, diced (optional)

  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced

  • 1/2 cup croutons (optional)

For the Dressing:

  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons sour cream or Greek yogurt

  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar or lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large salad bowl, add chopped romaine, tomatoes, bacon, avocado, red onion, and croutons.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together mayo, sour cream, vinegar, mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.

  3. Drizzle dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat.

  4. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Make it a full meal by adding grilled chicken or a sliced hard-boiled egg.

  • For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of mayo.

  • Want it low-carb? Skip the croutons.
