Ingredients
-
1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
-
1 tablespoon olive oil (for the griddle)
-
1/2 cup pizza sauce
-
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
-
Favorite toppings (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, peppers, onions, etc.)
-
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan (optional)
-
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
-
Fresh basil or crushed red pepper for garnish (optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat the Blackstone griddle to medium-low heat. Lightly oil the surface.
-
Stretch the dough: On a floured surface, roll or stretch the dough into a 10–12″ round or rectangle.
-
Cook the crust: Place the dough directly on the griddle. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the bottom starts to brown and bubble.
-
Flip and top: Flip the crust, then immediately spread sauce over the cooked side. Sprinkle with mozzarella and add your toppings.
-
Cover and melt: Reduce heat to low, cover with a large dome lid or metal bowl, and cook another 4–6 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bottom is crispy.
-
Finish & serve: Sprinkle with Parmesan and Italian seasoning. Slice and serve hot with fresh basil or chili flakes if desired.
Notes
-
Use parchment paper to transfer raw dough onto the griddle if it’s sticky.
-
A dome lid helps the cheese melt faster—don’t skip it!
-
Thin crust works best on the Blackstone to cook evenly without burning.
