- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin (optional)
- 1 tablespoon oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, garlic, parsley, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, paprika, and cumin (if using).
- Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each into a flat patty or oval cutlet.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Place the cutlets in the skillet and cook for 4–5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.
- Serve hot with ketchup, chutney, or a side salad.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef to reduce grease.
- Can be prepared ahead and frozen before frying.
- For extra crispiness, dredge in additional breadcrumbs before frying.
