Description

Beef Cutlets are savory, pan-fried patties made from ground beef mixed with breadcrumbs, herbs, and spices. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, they make a delicious appetizer or main course.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, garlic, parsley, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, paprika, and cumin (if using).
  2. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each into a flat patty or oval cutlet.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Place the cutlets in the skillet and cook for 4–5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.
  7. Serve hot with ketchup, chutney, or a side salad.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef to reduce grease.
  • Can be prepared ahead and frozen before frying.
  • For extra crispiness, dredge in additional breadcrumbs before frying.
