- 1 ball pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded or chopped
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
- Olive oil for brushing
- Cornmeal or flour for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a 12-inch circle. Transfer to a pizza peel or baking sheet dusted with cornmeal.
- Brush the dough lightly with olive oil. Spread barbecue sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
- Top with cooked chicken, mozzarella, cheddar, and red onion.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh cilantro if using. Slice and serve hot.
