- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 8 slices bacon, cooked
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 tomato slices
- 4 red onion slices
- 1 tbsp butter (optional, for toasting buns)
Instructions
- Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
- Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape into patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Grill or cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is reached. Add a slice of cheese to each patty during the last minute of cooking.
- While burgers cook, toast buns lightly with butter in a skillet or on the grill if desired.
- Assemble burgers by placing lettuce on the bottom bun, followed by the burger patty with melted cheese, 2 slices of bacon, a slice of tomato, and red onion.
- Drizzle barbecue sauce over the top and add the top bun.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
Notes
- Use smoked bacon for extra flavor.
